CHERISE A. POLLARD is a Professor of English at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. A Cave Canem and Callaloo Fellow, Pollard was awarded a grant from the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund. Her work has appeared in several journals and anthologies, including 5AM, African American Review, PoemMemoirStory, The Pittsburgh Poetry Review, and Rattle. She is currently revising a book-length collection of poetry, Writhe.
