Master Plots and Story Structures– Fiction Workshop

From character arcs and emotional journeys to plot lines and dramatic acts, structures underpin our stories, novels, screenplays, and creative nonfiction in a variety of ways. In this workshop we’ll discuss the kinds of structures that best hold your prose together and how to make tried-and-true story structures your own.

Bio for Misty Urban:


Misty Urban is the author of the story collections A LESSON IN MANNERS and THE NECESSARIES as well other short stories, creative nonfiction, and medieval scholarship. She teaches at Muscatine Community College and was the recipient of the 2017 Great River Writer’s Retreat.
