The Midwest Writing Center is proud to present a brief short poem workshop from Ryan Collins and a cyanotype workshop from local artist Brit Gray, where participants will have the opportunity to incorporate some of their writing into their cyanotype designs.

First, Collins will lead a class on writing short poems, looking at a variety of examples and giving participants time to write their own works, which they can use in their cyanotype designs in the second half of the workshop.

The instructor will provide all the materials for the cyanotype prints, from dried flowers and leaves to stencils made by Gray, who will explain what cyanotype is, showing examples from success to trial and error. After answering any questions, guests have full access to create one-of-a-kind prints in a completely hands-on experience. The prints are made by exposing them to UV/sun, which will create the print in less than 5 minutes.

Cost of the workshop is $10. You can register today using the button below (you do not need a PayPal account, FYI).
