Misty Urban is a fiction writer, medievalist, essayist, and editor whose publications include several prize-winning short stories, medieval and historical scholarship, and a book of literary criticism, ¬_Monstrous Women in Middle English Romance¬_. She taught English literature and creative writing at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, before moving to Muscatine.
