Workshop 2-3pm & Lauch Party 3-4pm
Midwest Writing Center (410 19th St., Ground Floor of RIPL)
Free and Open to the Public

Celebrate Wordsy Woman‘s (Jodie Toohey’s) publication of her first non-fiction book with a workshop and launch party. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Jodie will give a short presentation on the 5 Ps in book marketing and lead you through an exercise to help you start to tackle the number one thing (most likely) preventing you from marketing your book(s).

The launch party will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. with refreshments, book sale and signing, and casual conversation. Event is free and open to the public. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Jodie Toohey has taught several writing workshops including creative writing for beginners, making money writing online, and book marketing. Jodie is the author of five published books; two poetry collections – Crush and Other Love Poems for Girls (2008; 2nd Edition 2015) and Other Side of Crazy (2013, 918studio) – and three novels – Missing Emily: Croation Life Letters (2013; 2nd Edition 2015), Melody Madson – May It Please the Court? (2014), and Taming the Twisted (2015). When she’s not leading workshops or writing poetry or fiction, Jodie helps authors, soon-to-be authors, and want-to-be authors from pre-idea through reader with her Wordsy Woman Author Services company. She is a member of MWC; she also volunteers and serves as President of its Board of Directors.
