MWC is partnering with some of the best poets and writers in the community to offer bespoke poems, written for anyone you’d like to gift a poem—for any occasion you like, or for no occasion at all.
By participating in this limited-time program, you’re not only giving a unique poem to someone you care about, but you’re also supporting local writers and writing/literacy programs in the Quad Cities.
By definition Flash Fiction is a story of 1,000 words or less, but what makes for a great piece of flash? In this two-hour class, we’ll study examples from modern masters of the short form, discover the “Elements of Flashy Flash Fiction,” and write compelling stories of our own. Packed with tips, techniques, and prompts, this class will help writers of all levels create short fiction that shines.
