Ever seen a ghost? Is your life a non-stop horror movie? What’s the creepiest thing that’s ever happened to you? Can you communicate with “The Other Side”??? All of these scenarios (and more!) can and will be explored during the MWC’s “Freak Out!” ghost story series this October.

Bring your spookiest tales, adventures, and happenings to share with your fellow program attendees and be ready to craft your very own re-telling of that/those horrifying event(s)! Sense of humor highly-suggsted, but not required! The class is a four-week workshop (October 9, 16, 23, and 30) in which attendees will write their own crowd-worthy ghost stories to be shared publicly on-stage in a special ghost story program at 7pm on the last day of the workshop, the evening of Wednesday October 30th, location TBD.

Lauren Alexis Wood is a comedian/humorist and the founder and owner of Paradisiac Publishing, a boutique, specialty, indie publishing house located right here in the QCA. Her self-published book, “Scary Stories to Laugh at In The Dark” was self-published earlier this year. Lauren finds the horror genre to be hilarious (within reason) and is looking forward to working with anyone and everyone willing to share their creepiest of tales with the class.

This workshop is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Regional Development Authority and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
